"Life lessons in recovery” is a yearlong program designed to enhance public awareness and generate a yearning for fellowship and community building. This program is designed to bring a wide variety of people together and educate them on several key issues in recovery. We will accomplish this by creating workshops throughout the year. Each quarter will have three workshops, which will be based around the 12 steps of AA.
 
Each workshop will be held at Discovery Place and will use Discovery Place staff and Volunteers as well as our kitchen facilities. A survey will be distributed to each attendant to be filled out and turned in before they leave. Survey results, attendance and feedback from the guest and staff will enable us to make improvements as we go and give us the knowledge we need to achieve our goal of public awareness.
