Discovery Place is the dream of two recovering alcoholics who had reaped the benefits of long term sobriety and felt the need to give something tangible back to the community.
Located on 17 acres of rolling farmland just west of Nashville, Tennessee, Discovery Place was established and opened its doors in June, 1997 as a spiritual retreat for men, a home away from home where struggling alcoholics and addicts find the time and surroundings to begin their discovery of recovery.
Our program is based upon the twelve steps suggested in the book of Alcoholics Anonymous. It is our goal that guests will discover enough about the twelve step program to take a positive interest in ongoing recovery and to carry this interest into active participation in their daily lives.
We are a residential program for a minimum of 30 days, at a cost of $5,200 payable in advance by check, cash, or credit card.
We provide a regular aftercare and family program, recognizing that addiction is a chronic illness that affects both the alumni and the family. Although our guests come from all parts of the country we strive to maintain contact on a regular basis.
