How to Volunteer

Volunteering at Discovery Place is a great opportunity to be of service to your community, fellow alcoholics, and yourselves. “To watch people recover, to see them help others, to watch loneliness vanish, to see a fellowship grow up about you, to have a host of friends, this is an experience you must not miss” (bb p.89)  Here at Discovery Place we have many opportunities to be of service. Our volunteers are broken down into four groups. These groups are Discovery Volunteers, Alumni Volunteers, Special Volunteers, and Staff Volunteers. Each group has certain criteria and guidelines which separates them from the other groups.  There are many opportunities to volunteer here. We need people to facilitate groups, drive guest, and do administrative task. As volunteer coordinator it is my job to put you in a position which will allow you to demonstrate your talents and gifts. Please contact me so that we can find the right job for you.

Respectfully
